Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in automation engineering within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Fluency in Afrikaans (both written and spoken).
- Location Requirement: Candidates should either be South African residents currently living in the Netherlands or South Africans willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
Beneficial requirements:
- Proficiency in automation control systems such as PLC, SCADA, DCS, and HMI.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee complex automation projects from start to finish.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Design and Development of Automation Systems: Lead the design and development of complex automation systems, ensuring that they meet client specifications and industry standards.
- System Integration and Optimization: Integrate automation solutions into existing systems and optimize their performance for improved efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Project Management: Oversee and manage multiple automation projects from conception to execution, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level technical support during the installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of automation systems, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Mentorship and Team Collaboration: Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring the team’s technical skills and knowledge continue to grow.
