Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably within large-scale industrial or petrochemical projects.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project, with proven ability to create, manage, and analyze complex schedules.
• Location Requirement: Candidates should either be South African residents currently living in the Netherlands or South Africans willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
• Fluency in Afrikaans (both written and spoken).

Beneficial requirements:

• Solid understanding of project management principles, including critical path analysis, EVM, and schedule risk management.
• Excellent analytical skills with a meticulous approach to schedule accuracy and detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments and with external partners.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive project schedules, covering all phases from design through to commissioning.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, and construction teams to define project milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
• Conduct schedule risk assessments to identify potential delays, dependencies, and conflicts, proposing mitigation strategies to minimize impacts.
• Perform schedule analysis, including earned value management (EVM), and report on project progress against planned timelines.
• Provide regular updates and reports to project leadership, highlighting schedule performance, variances, and corrective actions required.
