About the Role
We are seeking a talented and driven Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at HotelJobs. The successful candidate must be passionate about food, able to lead by example, and maintain high culinary standards in a busy hotel environment. We are looking for an individual who is able to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen and lead the kitchen team with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare menu items according to hotel policies and high culinary standards
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients and supplies
- Supervise and mentor junior chefs to achieve high quality dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas
- Assist in food preparation, plating, and presentation
Requirements
- Experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie
- Strong culinary and leadership skills
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork ability
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Qualifications
- Relevant culinary qualification (advantage)
