This is a unique opportunity for a passionate chef to build a fully sustainable, off-the-grid kitchen from the ground upwhere fine dining meets conscious living. The ideal candidate will bring experience from ultra-luxury lodges or high-end boutique hotels, with strong leadership, creativity, and a deep respect for local culture and the environment. Daily guest interaction, food and wine pairing expertise, and a passion for zero-waste cooking are essential. REQUIREMENTS; SKILL & EXPERIENCE to excel in this role: Relevant diploma or qualification in culinary arts Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a fine dining, 5-star lodge or boutique hotel Confident, well-spoken, and comfortable engaging with guests daily Support the Executive Chef in kitchen operations: prep, production, stock control, scheduling, and compliance Contribute to menu development, incorporating sustainability and zero-waste principles Assist in managing and mentoring junior kitchen staff with a focus on skills development and local upliftment Collaborate with FOH to ensure seamless food and wine pairings Help establish and maintain on-site gardens, integrating fresh produce into daily menus Embrace a farm-to-table meets urban refinement food philosophy This is a live-in position.
