We are looking for an Engineer with experience in signal processing/radar/hardware – Intermediate to Snr level – Aerospace and Defence R&D and Manufacturing Sector.The ideal person would be someone who:Has a Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.Has at least 4 years experience in implementing digital communications and/or DSP algorithms.Has experience with integration and testing of communication and/or radar systems.Has simulation tool experience such as MATLAB, Python, or similar.Has experience with radar signal processing techniques (e.g., pulse compression, detection processing).Has a valid drivers license and own vehicle.RSA Citizen.No criminal record.Preferably already reside in the Cape Town region, or be willing to relocate to Cape Town on own cost.Key duties will include:Provide technical leadership, deliver detailed signal analyses, prototype hardware designs, and communication system assessments via briefings and/or technical reports to customers and colleagues.Conduct research pertaining to advanced signal processing, GPS/GNSS technology, and/or re-configurable communication systems.Develop and implement advanced signal processing algorithms with applications to GPS/GNSS receivers, communication transceivers, and/or digital signal processing primarily on re-configurable platforms.Analyse signal processing performance using MATLAB, Python, or similar simulation environments.
