Job Summary

The ideal candidate should have a Stores Management certificate from a reputable learning institution and minimum 2 years work experience in a stores or material management environment. Previous management or leadership experience would be advantageous. The responsibilities of this role include, but not limited to; Manage a team of 3+ stores operators in a dynamic stores environment. Ensure a secure goods receiving process is maintained and deliveries are checked, receipted onto the MRP system and accurately dispositioned within agreed time limits. Strictly apply FIFO principles to ensure old stock does not accumulate and that items with limited shelf life are used within the required dates to avoid unnecessary scrap. Ensure materials are handled and stored within the manufacturers specification guidelines, particularly ESD, temperature and moisture sensitive materials. Liaise with Supply Chain daily to ensure customer and production kits are checked and released to production timeously to achieve the production plan and avoid downtime. Maintain line side Kanban replenishment to avoid production downtime and report any anomalies to supply chain. Directly responsible for the accuracy of the stores, therefore ensuring counting accuracy and proper procedures are adhered is paramount. Lead the stores weekly cycle count and annual stock take and liaise directly with the Finance Director on results. Control the outbound logistics for customer deliveries.
