This role is designed to provide essential accounting support to the Group Accountant at the renowned wine estate group.

Reporting Line: The selected candidate will report directly to the Group Accountant.

Key

• Manage intercompany invoicing among various Group entities.
• Process invoices from P2P, Woolworths, international agents, and suppliers, while performing set-off journal entries against corresponding Debtors. Responsible for reconciliations of associated Customer/Supplier Ledgers.
• Handle invoicing for Capital sales, bulk wine, and grape sales.
• Execute general journal entries in Pastel Evolution for the entire group.
• Perform weekly bank transaction processing and monthly bank account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly Sales Reports for the Group.
• Complete Reserve Bank quarterly reports and annual reports for Stats SA.
• Generate Pastel Evolution Reports for other departments upon request.
• Responsible for reconciling fixed asset registers across the Group and executing depreciation/amortization journal entries.
• Assist in preparing the documentation required by auditors for the annual audits of the Group.
• Contribute to balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage all foreign supplier invoices, including payments and set-offs.
• Provide support to the Group Accountant and Financial Manager for various ad-hoc financial tasks.
