Our client, a well-established Commercial & Residential Property Development Company , is seeking an Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. The successful candidate must be energetic, a fast learner, and able to work accurately under pressure. Key Responsibilities: Daily Accounting Processing Capture and process all daily financial transactions accurately Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations Maintain and reconcile supplier and customer accounts Process invoices, credit notes, payments, and receipts VAT & Compliance Prepare VAT calculations and submissions in compliance with SARS legislation Maintain accurate and complete VAT records Assist with audits and resolve VAT-related queries Monthly Accounting & Reporting Prepare and process monthly journals (accruals, provisions, depreciation, adjustments) Maintain general ledger accuracy Perform month-end reconciliations Assist with the month-end closing process Management Accounts Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts Compile supporting schedules and variance analyses Assist with budgets and forecasts when required General Administration Provide administrative support to the finance department Assist with ad-hoc finance-related projects and tasks Minimum Requirements: Matric / Grade 12 Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field SAIPA Articles Completed 2 years relevant accounting work experience Strong MS Excel and MS Office proficiency Working knowledge of Accounting Software – MDA system knowledge (advantageous, not essential) Valid drivers licence and own reliable transport
