About the Role

The Commercial Trader for the Middle East Trading Region will drive sales growth, develop new market opportunities, and manage customer relationships in alignment with the company’s strategic goals. This role requires a commercially astute individual with deep market knowledge, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex trade flows between growers and clients in the perishable fruit sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies for the Middle East Trading Region
  • Negotiate trade agreements and contracts with clients and suppliers
  • Manage customer relationships and provide excellent service
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and adjust business strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary commercial qualification (BCom, Business Management, Logistics or equivalent)
  • 3 – 5 Years’ experience in marketing, sales, or trading within the perishable produce industry
  • Comprehensive understanding of fruit logistics, export documentation, and global trading systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary commercial qualification (BCom, Business Management, Logistics or equivalent)
