About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Demi Pastry Chef De Partie to join our award-winning wine estate in Stellenbosch. As a key member of our fine dining team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality pastries, desserts, and breads that complement our menu offerings. With a focus on innovative plating concepts and attention to detail, we are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake artisan breads, bread rolls, and health loaf breads
- Create plated hot and cold desserts for both lunch and dinner menus
- Assist in the production of a range of salt-water grills and seafood specialities
- Collaborate with the sous chef to ensure smooth service during peak hours
- Maintain high standards of quality and presentation throughout all dishes
Requirements
- Focused pastry qualification
- At least 3 years’ experience within DESSERT Fine Dining a la carte
- Advanced Dessert Techniques needed for detailed plating components and INNOVATIVE plating concepts
- Strong personality and perseverance in working long & demanding shifts
- Strengths in dealing with daily changing dessert menus within a small team
