This award winning wine estate on the outskirts of Stellenbosch offers both contemporary and fine dining options on a daily basis. Serving a la carte lunch on the popular terrace and more formal dinners inside the all glass-clad restaurant in the evenings. The food style echoes the flavours of the Cape – from delicate plated salt-water grills and seafood specialities to the most intricately detailed meat, poultry, game and vegetarian main course. The pastry department produces a range of plated hot and cold desserts for both the lunch and dinner menus as well as artisan breads, bread rolls and health loaf breads. We are in search of candidates with good all round pastry, baking and dessert production skills with proven abilities in plating and garnish components. Requirements: Focused pastry qualification At least 3 years’ experience within DESSERT Fine Dining a la carte Advanced Dessert Techniques needed for detailed plating components and INNOVATIVE plating concepts Must have strong personality and perseverance in working long & demanding shifts Strengths in dealing with daily changing dessert menus withing a small team Must be innovative and confident in creating additional desserts for VIP guests or small functions Own transport essential due to the location of this property as staff transport is not provided
