Job Summary
- Grade 12
- 5 year experience in similar role
- BCom Degree in IT, Computer Sciences or related field
- A+ and N+ certifications
- Strong troubleshoot ability
- Good communication skills
Duties:
- Assist in the development of IT strategies and roadmaps aligned with the organisation’s business objectives
- Generate regular reports on system performance, IT incidents, team productivity, and vendor performance to present to senior management
- Lead and supervise the IT team, ensuring effective delegation of tasks and maintaining high levels of team motivation and productivity
- Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure continuous improvement and professional development
- Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient and secure IT operations
- Continuously evaluate current workflows and make recommendations for improvements to optimize system performance, reduce costs, and increase efficiency
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and suppliers, including negotiating contracts, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and evaluating vendor performance
- Oversee the procurement process for IT hardware, software, and services, ensuring the organisation receives the best value and service quality
- Oversee the IT inventory and stock management, ensuring that hardware and software assets are well-tracked and updated
- Maintain a comprehensive asset register, documenting all hardware, software, and network components
- Perform system backups, updates, and patches according to the organisation’s policies and compliance requirements
- Monitor network security and data integrity, performing necessary diagnostics to ensure systems remain secure and functional
- Oversee and manage the organisation’s hardware, software, and network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security
- Lead the planning, installation, and maintenance of IT systems, including servers, workstations, printers, and network devices
- Ensure regular and preventive maintenance of hardware to avoid unexpected failures and downtime.
- Manage software licensing, updates
