Job Summary
Our client, in the banking industry, is looking for a System Analyst in their team, supporting their prepaid mobile service that offers airtime, data, minutes, and SMSs. The product is a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) that runs on one of the established networks.
The purpose of the role is:
- To design, develop, configure, and maintain automation and integration to systems across the Systems Development Lifecycle which are aligned to business processes and relevant internal and external governance.
- To provide technical system support and query resolution and liaise with system parties to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
- To connect systems and ensure seamless integration
Role Description:
- Involves working with business engineers and business analysts to understand and translate technical requirements.
- Process Mapping: Mapping out business processes and translating them into technical requirements.
- Technical Translation: Translating technical details into actionable steps.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology – Computer Science or Information Systems
Experience
- 6- 8 years experience in Systems Design and Analysis within the functional area
- At least 12 years of Telecommunications experience is very advantageous.
- Transact-SQL
- SQL
- Webservices
- API Integration
- HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Technical Tools: Use of tools like Miro and Visio for diagramming and data modeling.
Ideal:
- Jira
- Confluence
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of:
- Systems Analysis Methodologies
- ITIL Principles and the application thereof
- Good understanding of:
- Banking systems
- Best practices for Quality Assurance (QA)
Knowledge
Advanced knowledge and understanding of:
- Automation tools
- Programming (JAVA and C#)
- Software Development and integration processes
Ideal:
- Project Management and coordination:
- Agile development life cycle
- Technical Test Plan Design
- Documentation including assistance with drafting source documents for training purposes
Other Programming:
- .NET Frameworks
