Job Summary
Stellenbosch – Western Cape
- Complete income tax and provisional tax returns on e-filing based on financial statements and tax computations provided.
- Deal with SARS queries relating to the Income Tax returns submitted.
- Monitor submission of returns to ensure timeous finalisation of work.
- Downloading SARS e-filing correspondence and drafting response where required.
- Any other SARS related task to ensure overall tax compliance.
- Maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality in your work.
- Effectively interpreting and applying theoretical knowledge.
- Meeting deadlines and prioritising workload efficiently.
- Compiling various SARS returns such as withholding tax returns where required.
- Handling reconciliation of assessments, drafting objections and appeals where required.
- Addressing SARS queries.
- Ensuring quality control of corporate returns before submission to SARS.
- Registered tax practitioner.
- Degree or diploma in finance and taxation.
- Other relevant tax qualifications will also be considered.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant tax compliance experience.
- Knowledge of e-filing administration compulsory.
- Computer literate.
- Completed SAIPA articles. (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
- Good knowledge and understanding of Income tax compliance regulations.
- Willingness to work under tight deadlines during tax season.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Problem solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Effective communication at all levels.
- Strong time management abilities.
