Job Summary
Relevant degree, diploma, certifications in IT or studying towards
CompTIA Certifications (A+, N+, Security+ or Equivalent)
5+ years IT related work experience
Valid driver’s license
Advantageous: MikroTik Certifications (MTCNA & MTCRE), SonicWall Certifications
Key Performance Areas:
Design, Deployment, Maintenance, Optimization of: End user Computer Infrastructure, Network Infrastructure, Server Infrastructure, Cybersecurity
- Setting up and keeping documentation up to date for all of the above
- Form part of Incident Response efforts
Support:
- Providing support to users and being the escalation point
- Monitor and manage new and reopened tickets
- Provide accurate high-level support towards end-users regarding their IT related issues and provide accurate and timely feedback (Level 2 – 3)
- Follow-up with the end-user to ensure that the issue is resolved
- Aid fellow team members where necessary
Knowledge:
- VMware
- Microsoft Active Directory & Entra ID
- Networking (Routing, Switching, Firewall, SDWAN, VPN)
- Server hardware systems
- Storage hardware systems
- Server operating systems and software applications
- CCTV
- VoIP systems
