Requirements:
- Must have a Culinary Certificate
- Minimum of at least 3 years of previous experience in a luxury lodge environment
- Exposure to high-end kitchens
- Knowledge about flavors, plating, and trying new recipes
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team
- Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with all departments and across cultures and religions
- Comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele
- Must be punctual and self-disciplined
- Must have excellent attention to detail
- Interact with guests during meals, and during their stay to understand their needs and preferences
- Must be eager to grow their career
- Well-groomed and adhere according to the lodge standards
- To assist the Senior chef with preparation, and offer support to the head chef
- Uphold Hygiene standards
- Keep food waste to a minimum
- Adhere to all Health and Safety protocols
- must be able to work in a team, have effective communication and be adaptable!
