Job Summary
Job Specifications: Position is responsible for the management of sales and building customer relationships. The position requires selling of technical products and provide supporting services to meet the customer’s demands and as result generate sales for the Company. Tasks and duties may vary but main duties include: Develop a sales plan for growing the company’s client base Identify top prospects that will be targeted by you for active pursuit. Manage sales and pricing to allow achievement of Company Margins Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs Complete the company’s daily reporting structure detailing factors such as: whereabouts, client potential, prospects, feedback, successes and failures. Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers Identify, research and resolve customer issues Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships with current and new client base Reach out to customer leads through cold calling Analyse the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule Achieve agreed upon visit and call ratio Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments Keep proper record of all pricing requests and feedback Attend sales meetings and training sessions with the seriousness required Complete any sales related reports as requested by company Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interest, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends Continuously improve through feedback Other duties as assigned Follow company procedures at all times Assist with the launch and implementation of new products Attend to all emails and queries quick and effectively Important Capabilities: Irreproachable honesty and reliability Professional mannerism at all times required Computer literacy – must be able to effectively use a variety of desktop and online applications Client service orientation, with a pleasant and efficient telephone manner Well-spoken with an ability to communicate verbally and in writing Attention to detail and accuracy is essential Ability to work under pressure and to take personal responsibility for results Able to work as part of a team in an open plan informal environment Initiative, organizing and planning Stress and pressure management High level of customer service at all times Adherence to company procedures Information and record management Reliability and punctuality Solving and escalation of problematic and possible problematic situations as well as areas beyond knowledge and skill level Coping with high workload and deadlines Obtainable and accurate feedback to customers at all times Prioritise at all times especially when under pressure Use initiative and develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles Maximizing company profit when selling – up sell Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills Desired Experience & Qualification Matric or equivalent A minimum of 2 years sales experience Own transport Reporting structure: Position reports to (External) Sales Manager
