About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Store Driver to join our team at Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Vanderbijlpark. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting products to customers in a timely and professional manner while upholding our quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport products to customer locations in a timely, safe and courteous manner
- Deliver goods to customers with all cash and product receipts given to the cashier before the close of business
- Prioritize fridge line deliveries using cooler boxes and cold packs, and ensure correct products are delivered to the correct customer within the specified time frame
- Use the shortest and most efficient route to customers and return to the store immediately after delivery
- Re-packer vehicle after completion of deliveries to prevent damage or loss
- Be fully accountable for all damages and losses throughout the delivery process
- Provide special care when delivering fragile and hazardous products
- Comply with minimum standards of efficiency and accuracy, in order to meet our requirements
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Valid Driver License
- Own reliable transport (must be a South African citizen or have a valid work permit)
- Clear credit record
- Good physical health (includes good eyesight)
