A leading South African open-pit mining and aggregates company is seeking a qualified Junior Millwright to join their operations team in Vereeniging. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment critical to daily production operations.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (preferably Technical)
• Recognised Trade Certificate: Millwright
• 2 years experience in a heavy industrial, mining or aggregates environment
• Strong working knowledge of conveyer belts, gearboxes, crushers, and pumps
• Computer literate (MS Office Suite)
• Able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Strong work ethic, ability to work independently and in a team
• Valid drivers license

Key

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment
• Fault-find and repair conveyors, crushers, gearboxes, and pumps
• Attend to machine breakdowns and complete timecards and reports
• Conduct monthly legal inspections and support SHE compliance
• Maintain tools and ensure equipment is in safe working order
  Provide standby and remote support as required
• Work independently or as part of a team in a high-paced environment
