About the Role
Waterberg Lodge Manager I is a unique opportunity to join a well-established and highly regarded safari lodge in the Waterberg, partnering with HotelJobs to recruit an experienced hospitality professional. This role is perfectly suited for someone who enjoys being fully involved in lodge life, taking pride in creating memorable, personalised guest experiences while maintaining strong operational control.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily running of the lodge, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across all departments
- Manage housekeeping, maintenance coordination and stock control to maintain high lodge standards
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences and professionally handle guest feedback, requests and complaints
- Supervise; mentor, train and motivate staff to encourage strong performance and team engagement
- Maintain accurate administrative records and perform basic accounting and reporting duties
- Monitor operational systems, processes and procedures to ensure efficiency, compliance and consistency
Requirements
- Proven experience in lodge or hospitality management within a similar environment
- Strong administrative, organisational and basic accounting skills
- Confident leadership ability with excellent communication and people-management skills
- Highly guest-focused with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Qualifications
- R15;000 – R18,000 per month with live-in benefits
