About the Role

The Central University of Technology (CUT) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Accounting & Auditing to join our Faculty of Management Sciences at the Welkom Campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing academic material and lectures, executing community projects, and contributing to the growth and development of our students.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching, learning & assessment (10 – 50%)
• Student evaluation (10%)
• Research (10 – 50%)
• Administration (10 – 15%)
• Control and organisation (10%)
• Community service (10%)

Requirements

• A relevant Masters-level degree (i.e. M Tech / Masters / NQF 9 or equivalent) and Professional Accountant (SA) registration with SAIPA or Associated General Accountant AGA (SA) registration with SAICA.
• OR Chartered Accountant (South Africa): CA(SA) registration with SAICA.
• At least two years teaching/lecturing/industry experience relevant to the subject field(s).

Qualifications

• A relevant Doctorate level degree (i.e. D.Tech / PhD/ NQF 10 or equivalent)
• OR A relevant Master’s level degree (i.e. M Tech/Masters at NQF 9) and a registered Chartered Accountant (South Africa): CA(SA) registration with SAICA.

Salary & Benefits

The minimum salary scale for this position is as follows:

• Lecturer: R 777 297 per annum (Total Cost to Company)
• Senior Lecturer: R 979 931 per annum (Total Cost to Company)

Note that the salary scales are subject to change and may be adjusted based on the internal parity model applied by CUT.
