About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Back of House Manager to oversee all operational and support services behind the scenes, ensuring the smooth running of hotel operations while upholding the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for leading multiple teams across support departments and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all back-of-house operations including maintenance, engineering, housekeeping, and support services
- Supervise and develop departmental managers and staff to maintain high performance standards
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all back-of-house operations
- Monitor operational workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements
- Collaborate with front-of-house and F&B teams to support service excellence and guest satisfaction
- Manage budgets, resources, and operational costs while ensuring quality standards are met
- Maintain accurate reports, logs, and records related to departmental performance
- Respond to operational emergencies and provide hands-on support as required
- Live and promote the hotels values of Teamwork, Respect, Innovation, Accountability, Passion, and Integrity
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in a supervisory or managerial role within hotel operations, engineering, or facilities management
- Proven experience managing back-of-house departments, including housekeeping, maintenance, engineering, and support services
- Strong knowledge of hotel operational systems, workflows, and health & safety compliance
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining operational excellence
- Hospitality qualification or diploma advantageous
- South African citizen with a valid ID

- Hospitality qualification or diploma
