About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced Technical Specialist Product to join their Technical Adviser Support team in Cape Town. This Mid-Senior role requires deep technical expertise, senior-level engagement, and proven management abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing proactive and reactive technical advisory support to a large national network of advisers and distribution teams on complex advice-related matters.
- Act as the subject matter expert on technical product and advice matters, including participation in relevant technical/distribution committees.
- Work closely with product providers to ensure the product suite remains competitive.
- Collaborate with cross-divisional teams on product and product provider due diligence, in conjunction with risk and finance teams.
- Serve as the subject matter expert and manager of the large case review process, including presenting findings to senior management for approval.
- On an ongoing basis, evaluate, review, and improve the large case process.
- Facilitate technical training for junior staff and ensure the effective management of direct reports.
- Draft, review, and sign-off communication and content for marketing and technical purposes (e.g., Take Notes, articles) in relation to advice and distribution activities.
Requirements
- Experience: A minimum of 7 years experience in wealth and investment products.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of financial planning and experience engaging at an EXCO/Senior Management level.
- Education: A Degree in Financial Management / Financial Planning or a related field.
- Designation (Advantageous): Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning.
- Skills: Proven ability to identify, assess, and solve problems. Must demonstrate excellent management/leadership skills, strong analytical skills, and the ability to influence and negotiate.
