Job Description
- Maintain, repair, and service all catering and kitchen equipment throughout the hotel.
- Ensure all kitchen appliances operate efficiently, safely, and comply with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on catering equipment, including ovens, hobs, fryers, dishwashers, and refrigeration units.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to ensure operational continuity.
- Install new kitchen appliances and ensure proper commissioning.
Quality & Standards
- Ensure all equipment is functioning at optimal performance levels.
- Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and efficiency in all repairs.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and service schedules.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow all occupational health and safety guidelines, including PPE usage.
- Comply with food safety and hygiene standards while working on kitchen equipment.
- Ensure safe handling of tools, chemicals, and appliances.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the engineering, maintenance, and kitchen teams to support smooth hotel operations.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly to minimize disruption to kitchen services.
Qualifications & Education Requirements
- Technical or trade qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Catering Equipment Maintenance.
- Proven experience maintaining commercial kitchen and catering equipment.
- Knowledge of cooking appliances, refrigeration, and dishwashing systems.
Preferred Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience
- Minimum 2–4 years’ experience as a Catering Technician or in a similar role, preferably in hotels or commercial kitchens.
