Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and oversee civil engineering projects including earthworks, roads, stormwater systems, concrete structures, and related infrastructure.
• Conduct technical assessments, feasibility studies, design reviews, and ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities, and tender documentation.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Carry out site inspections, risk assessments, audits, and technical evaluations.
• Experience in structural design analysis of land-based structures, including code compliance
• Experience in land-based mine structures design and analysis
• Experience in Prokon and/or Abaqus and caesar II applications
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, environmental teams, and internal stakeholders to support project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and engineering support to junior team members.
• Ensure engineering work aligns with safety, health, and environmental standards and complies with statutory legislation.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Professional registration or eligibility for registration with ECSA (Advantageous).
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in civil or structural engineering, preferably within large-scale industrial, mining, or infrastructure environments.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, design codes, construction techniques, and project lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in engineering design software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other modelling tools.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
