Job Summary
A leader in the travel industry, is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and driven individual to join our dynamic finance team in Cape Town. As a Debtors Controller, you will be responsible for managing the company’s debtor book, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding amounts, and maintaining strong client relationships. You will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting the overall financial health of the company.
As a Debtors Controller, your responsibilities will include:
- Manage and monitor the debtor’s ledger to ensure timely payments and reduce overdue accounts
- Liaise with clients to resolve outstanding balances and issues effectively
- Maintain accurate records of accounts and manage reconciliations
- Prepare monthly age analysis and assist with reporting for management
- Identify potential risk accounts and work with the credit control team to mitigate them
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in line with financial regulations
- Assist in maintaining good relationships with clients, ensuring professionalism at all times
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Credit Management Certificate completion
3-5 years of relevant experience
Exceptional attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Managing and reconciling the debtors book
- Ensuring timely collections from debtors
- Conducting credit checks on new clients
- Setting up payment plans for debtors
- Preparing reports on debtors` balances and collections
- Resolving customer billing issues and disputes
- Providing support to the finance team as needed
- Maintaining accurate records of all debtor transactions
- Liaising with other departments within the company to ensure smooth debtors management
Qualifications and Experience Needed:
- Relevant Finance qualification
- 5 years` experience needed as a Debtors Controller
