Quest Capital Solutions , a leader in Rent-to-Own finance for movable assets in the transport industry, is seeking a qualified, energetic, and detail-oriented Senior Diesel Mechanic to join our workshop team, located at the corner of Gravel Road and Botfontein Road (M15), Stellenbosch Farms, Cape Town . The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on heavy-duty vehicles , with strong exposure to multiple brands including Scania, Volvo, MAN and FAW . Key Responsibilities Perform d iagnostics, fault-finding, services and repairs on all makes of heavy-duty trucks and trailers including engines, gearboxes, drivetrains, braking, suspension, and electrical systems. Conduct preventative maintenance, major services, and overhauls. Perform COF and safety inspections on vehicles. Complete job cards, service records, and inspection reports accurately and on time. Support the Workshop Manager in planning and prioritizing repairs and optimize fleet availability. Maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance, and housekeeping within the workshop. Provide input on tooling upgrades, procurement of parts and technical resources. Lead and supervise junior mechanics and apprentices, ensuring quality workmanship. Qualification and experience A Red Seal Trade Test Certificate (Diesel Mechanic). 8 years experience working on heavy-duty trucks experience across multiple brands such as Scania, Volvo, MAN, and FAW is a strong advantage. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities across mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems. Excellent technical knowledge and understanding of OEM maintenance standards. A valid drivers license (EC will be advantageous). Experience in fleet maintenance operations or workshop supervision will be advantageous.
