• Manage the teams that wrap, label, scan and pack, as well as deliver the product consignments to the customer contact points.
• Develop daily and weekly team schedules to meet the operational needs of the business.
• Maintain accurate record of inventory and stock management systems according to set standards.
• General housekeeping and organising of the dispatch area.
• Oversee the standard of packaging materials to ensure appropriate presentation of stock.
• Perform quality checks on labels/batch numbers/expiry dates when preparing orders for dispatch.
• Collaborate with production personnel to ensure manufactured products are of consistent quality.
• Ensure proper arrangement of stock.
• Carry out stock management operations in line with set product and food safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct periodic assessment of dispatch process and value chain to identify risks and develop solutions useful in minimising losses.
• Check orders against picking slips and delivery notes.
• Assist with loading as required.
• Perform regular delivery deadline progress checks to ensure that customer’ expectations are met.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment maintenance records for internal and external review.
• Manage and lead team of delivery drivers.
• Manage and lead team of Packers.
• Supervise Picker and Checker.
• Train and oversee new employees ensuring job awareness, an understanding of company and industry requirements as well as safety standards.
• Keep record of employee productivity and attendance, monitoring activity to ensure optimal performance, integrity and professionalism.
• Provide pro-active mentoring and coaching and regular performance reviews to reporting teams.

Minimum

• Senior Certificate / National Certificate
• At least 3 years’ similar experience in a FMCG environment with increasing levels of responsibility
• MS Office and SYSPRO knowledge a pre-requisite
