Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct periodic IFRS 17 calculations for insurance contract liabilities and profits
• Support profit forecasting and contribute to the annual budget and monthly reforecasting
• Assist in solvency calculations as per Financial Soundness Standards (previously SAM)
• Contribute to actuarial valuation, financial reporting processes, and statutory submissions

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Education: Honours Degree in Actuarial Science
• Experience: 3+ years in life insurance (valuation, reporting, or capital management)
• Actuarial Qualification: Newly or nearly qualified actuary (all exams completed)
• Software & Skills:
  • Actuarial modelling software (Prophet or similar)
  • Data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI)
  • Strong understanding of IFRS 17
• Ability to thrive in a team environment with multiple deliverables and deadlines
