About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Assistant to join our team at Communicate Finance in Cape Town. As the right candidate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. Your excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work well under pressure will be invaluable assets to our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and reconciliation of project cost reports
- Ensure alignment with budgets and project activities
- Support the preparation and submission of project invoices
- Track and report on project expenses
- Ensure all supporting documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting for current and upcoming projects
- Liaise with project managers and internal stakeholders to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with the processing of vendor payments, staff reimbursements, and other finance transactions
- Support internal and external audits by preparing project-related documentation and reconciliations
- Maintain well-organized financial and administrative records, both electronic and physical
- Assist with procurement processes
- Provide general administrative support to the Finance & Admin team as required
Requirements
- Completed SAIPA articles
- 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Advanced Excel skills
Qualifications
- Completed BCom degree in Accounting/Finance
