Job Summary
Hire Resolve is actively seeking a driven Financial Operations Associate to join our client in the Asset Management sector. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about finance and looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic organization.
As a Financial Operations Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the financial operations team in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions and reporting. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Collaborate with the client portfolio manager to execute meeting outcomes, fulfill client requests, and provide comprehensive administrative support, including account setups, terminations, payments, tax packs, and statements.
- CRM & Compliance Management: Maintain and update CRM systems, particularly iress, to ensure accurate and efficient client data management. Stay current with compliance standards (FAIS, FICA, and POPIA), completing all required tests and updates.
- Service Provider Liaison: Develop strong relationships with service providers and suppliers, enhancing collaboration and streamlining processes.
- Client Structure Knowledge: Maintain a robust understanding of client structures, including platforms, endowments, funds, and Personal Share Portfolios (PSPs), enabling efficient and accurate client service.
- Portfolio Administration: Oversee client portfolio transfers, including managing Section 42 (S42) and Section 14 (S14) processes, ensuring timely and compliant execution.
- Project Collaboration: Partner with the COO and Finance Director on client service enhancement projects, such as broker consolidation (e.g., Investec Offshore) and iress improvements.
- Office Management Support: Provide occasional coverage for the office manager and ensure administrative continuity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor`s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Located near Constantia. CT
- 1-3 years of experience in financial operations, particularly within asset management or related financial services.
- Strong understanding of financial instruments and asset management processes.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial management software.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
