Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Internal Technical Sales Consultant to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, liaise with clients, and contribute to the company`s growth.
Minimum
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Further studies in Mechanical Engineering will be an advantage
- 3-5 years’ experience in the steel service environment (advantageous)
- CAD experiences essential
- SigmaNest experience advantageous
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual
Key Performance Areas:
- Generate quotes and book orders using the internal quoting and data system (VDS).
- Draw up parts from existing samples and reference drawings in CAD format for flame and laser cutting purposes.
- Confirm quotes and drawings with customers before processing.
- Liaise with customers in person, via telephone, fax, and email regarding cutting requirements and orders.
- Follow up on sent quotes.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with a varied customer base.
- Provide feedback to customers regarding work in progress.
- Coordinate with different departments to ensure the smooth flow of orders.
- Maintain and update a comprehensive parts database.
- Assist as required by management.
