We are looking for an experienced Junior or Intermediate Java Developer to join a growing team in Stellenbosch. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work in an innovative environment with cutting-edge payment technologies. Qualifications:
Tertiary or equivalent training in software development, computer science, or engineering
3-5 years of relevant development experience
Strong proficiency in Java (Standard and Enterprise Editions), Spring Boot, and SQL (MS SQL Server/Postgres)
Experience with development tools such as Eclipse/NetBeans IDEs, Maven, and GIT
Hands-on experience working in a continuous integration and testing environment
Familiarity with OpenAPI protocols
Requirements:
Strong technical integration skills and experience in integrating new clients into systems
Experience in development testing, system fixes and maintenance, and enhancing current functionality
Ability to design and develop new functionality while resolving 3rd line support queries
Familiarity with system security and audits
Drive to improve development techniques and processes continuously
Experience in Agile methodologies like Scrum/Kanban
Advantageous:
Exposure to financial transaction processing systems and multi-threaded, high-volume real-time systems
Postilion development skills (source/sink node development)
Experience in front-end development using the Angular framework

Working on new functionality, system enhancements, and 3rd line support
