Metal Closure Printing Assistant – Montague Gardens
 
Job Description:
Join our team as a Printing Assistant and play a key role in delivering top-quality printed closures that meet customer specifications and standards in Packaging Industry.

Location: Montague Gardens, Cape Town
 
To successfully execute the local printing process of plain closures in terms of Quality, productivity, screen exposure and stretching, maintaining printing machines, printing activities, performance, and adherence to the agreed printing schedule.
Report and liaise effectively with printing supervisor and internal departments to achieve customer satisfaction.
Key tasks will include:

• Screen pre-press activities and local printing of metal closures.
• Adhere to the QMS (Quality Management System).
• Process control in the production department.

Knowledge and Experience

• Proven screen-printing experience.
• Set-up, stretching. Exposure and drying of screens.
• Set-up and operations of metal screen printing operations.
• The ability to work independently.
• The ability to work under pressure and accurately.
• Sound problem-solving abilities.
• The ability to cope with the inherent physical demands of the position.

 
Educational Requirements

• Matric or grade 12 certificate
• Valid driver’s licence

Requirements:

• Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, BRCGS, HACCP).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to meet the demands of the role.
• Creativity and a commitment to continuous improvement.

 
Key Relationships:
Work closely with the warehouse, printing, procurement, quality, and sales teams.
