• Qualified electrician (competent person as per OSH Act), or minimum N5 / T3.
• Grade 12 certificate.
• Additional electrical qualifications (meter training course, wiremen’s license).
• Code 08 driver’s license.
• Good computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Metering experience: Conventional, Prepaid, single phase, poly phase, direct connect, CT connect, SPU and LPU. Common metering products include Landis & Gyr, Itron, Conlog, ext. Experience with conventional and prepaid water meters are essential.
• LPU metering, communication, programming, and testing.
• Revenue protection, meter auditing.
• Meter accuracy verification testing.
• Load recording experience.
