About the Role
Eskort (Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Retail Assistant Manager to join our team in Cape Town, Western Cape. As a key member of our retail operations, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day store activities, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth. With 5+ years of experience in retail management, we are looking for an individual with a passion for the FMCG industry and a proven track record of success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily cash ups and ensure optimal cash handling
- Run stock depletion reports to maintain accurate inventory levels
- Monitor and control store stock levels, including perishable products
- Conduct employee recruitment, onboarding, and training to ensure effective team performance
- Implement merchandising strategies to drive sales growth and enhance customer experience
Requirements
- 5+ years of retail management experience
- Strong knowledge of FMCG environment and related legislation
- Proven analytical skills and ability to manage data-driven insights
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams
- Basic understanding of retail consumer behavior and purchasing trends
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Non-Negotiable)
- Diploma/Degree in Retail or Business or related qualification (advantageous)
