About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technician to join our team at Bidvest Protea Coin in Cape Town, Western Cape. As a Senior Technician, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining electronic security equipment, ensuring the highest level of security and reliability for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electronic security equipment
- Regular communication and development of a good relationship with client
- Attention to detail on all aspects of relevant installations and operations
- Adhering to the Agreement between the client and the company
- Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations
- Feedback to Operations Manager
- Problem Solving /Project Management
- Management and control of documentation, including Registers, Overtime and Route Sheets
- Submission of fault reports on the system
- Available to be on standby when required
Requirements
- PSIRA registered
- GALAGHER certified
- Must be AVIGILON certified
- Must be RISCO alarm certified
- ZITON FIRE – certification
- Clean record (no criminal history)
- No adverse credit
- Computer literacy is a must
- Networking ability
- Fault finding and trouble shooting ability is key
- Since reports and paperwork is a key entity in this role, his ability to deliver this on time every time is a must
Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Specific knowledge/ experience and certification on CCTV and Access Control
- Specific Knowledge on intruder alarms, CADDX, DSC, FBI, Telecom, IDS, PARADOX, COSMOS and PROSYS Roko net Intrusion Systems
- Sound Knowledge of IP CCTV
- Sound Knowledge and understanding of CCTV System and Access Control, Fire, and Intrusion systems.
