Our client, a fast-growing player in the manufacturing and distribution sector, is searching for an ambitious Assistant Stock Accountant who wants more than routine. They are looking for someone who brings sharp analytical thinking, accuracy under pressure, and a proactive mindset to help strengthen their stock management and financial processes. This opportunity is based in the Northern Suburbs. 
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring clean, reliable inventory records, supporting the financial impact of foreign currency transactions, and helping the business make informed decisions through clear stock insights and reporting.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate stock accounting through valuation, adjustments, and reconciliations
• Analyse variances and investigate discrepancies across different warehouses/sites
• Support the management and reporting of foreign currency transactions tied to stock procurement
• Track inventory movements, slow-moving items, and write-offs
• Assist in costing, forecasting, and budgeting by providing accurate and timely stock data

 
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Completed BCom degree
3+ years experience within a similar role
Inventory experience required
Manufacturing industry experience beneficial
