Responsibilities:
- Handle all breakdowns of fleet ensuring timely mobilization.
- Obtain parts at optimal prices and manage the parts store effectively.
- Purchase and control inventory of parts, ensure seamless administration of parts procurement and distribution.
- Maintain security of the parts store and manage stock levels.
- Conduct regular audits and handle defective parts claims.
- Compile accident repair costs for in-house and external services.
- Provide administrative support for breakdowns and update vehicle histories.
- Issue parts to mechanics and assist with service scheduling.
- Ensure adherence to safety and security standards in the storage area.
Requirements:
- Experience in parts management and procurement.
- Ability to handle breakdowns and ensure timely vehicle repairs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in maintaining audit trails and managing stock levels.
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Additional Information:
- The position requires alternating weeks of outside breakdown assistance.
- Attend RTMS meetings and maintain statistics on breakdowns.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as required to support the workshop and depot operations.
