Job Summary
– Assist Engineers with maintenance of the company`s aircraft and ensuring that the recommended manufacturers maintenance procedures and practises are adhered to.
– Adhering to all company policies, procedures and manuals.
– Maintenance of all ground support equipment and when outsourced maintenance is required, liaise with senior personnel to obtain quotes and oversee required maintenance.
– Keep to Cleanliness Standards as per the Civil Aviation Regulations, 2011, as amended.
– Aircraft towing.
– Aircraft cleaning.
– Assist engineers with aircraft arrivals and departures.
– Offload and load arriving and departing aircraft baggage bays.
– Drive passenger vehicles from the aircraft parking bay to the vehicle parking bay.
– Dealing with passengers at a minimal level.
– Assisting all maintenance personnel, as requested.
Knowledge / Qualification:
– Minimum Tertiary Qualification – Grade 12
– Valid drivers license (Code 08)
– Minimum 5 years aviation experience
– Experience in maintenance of aircraft an advantage
– Knowledge of Microsoft office (MS-Excel, MS-Word, Outlook)
Skills:
– Fully bilingual
– Strong sense of responsibility
– Good grooming
– Fully bilingual
– Excellent communication skills
– Sober lifestyle
– Good reading and writing skills; and
– A positive attitude towards the company, employees and Management
Experience:
– Minimum of five (5) years aviation.
– Basic knowledge of South African Civil Aviation Regulations, 2011, as amended.
Additional training:
– Be prepared to be evaluated and attend performance reviews as required by aviation legislation.
– Attend skill and refresher training/courses as and when required.
– Will be required to do working on heights training and be able to work at heights if required.

– Attend training, as and when determined by the Organisation and the requirements.
