About the Role
The Loan Evaluator will be responsible for reviewing, assessing, and processing loan applications submitted through various channels. This role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to work efficiently across multiple communication platforms. The individual will also assist with employment confirmations, arrears follow-ups, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, assess, and verify loan applications from branches and online channels
- Conduct financial analysis and credit checks
- Process and validate customer applications
- Disburse approved online loan applications when required
- Engage with customers via phone, email, and messaging platforms
- Ensure loan documents are complete and compliant
- Confirm employment details for loan applications
- Communicate with customers regarding arrears and negotiate payment arrangements
- Update client records and report on arrears status
- Reconcile daily loan applications and prepare reports
- Ensure regulatory compliance in line with relevant legislation
- Maintain adherence to internal company policies
- Provide accurate updates to clients on application progress
- Support overall loan administration and compliance tasks
Requirements
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in loan processing, credit evaluation, or a similar financial services role
- Knowledge of NCA, NCR, and POPIA compliance
- Proficiency in financial analysis and document verification
- Experience engaging with customers telephonically and digitally
- Computer literacy across standard office and communication platforms
Salary & Benefits
R8 000 – R12 000 monthly
