Job Summary
Responsibilities:
Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Lead and facilitate key Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Team Support and Coaching: Act as a servant leader, coaching and mentoring development teams on Scrum practices, Agile principles, and continuous improvement. Remove Obstacles: Identify and proactively remove any blockers or impediments preventing the team from achieving their goals. Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong communication between team members, stakeholders, and product owners to ensure transparency and alignment throughout the sprint. Track and Report Progress: Monitor team progress and health, using tools like Jira or Trello to ensure that the sprint goals are being met and provide relevant updates to stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, helping the team to reflect on their processes and strive for better performance in each sprint. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure the backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and aligns with business goals. Conflict Resolution: Help resolve conflicts within the team, promoting healthy collaboration and teamwork. Promote Agile Best Practices: Advocate for Agile best practices, ensuring that Scrum frameworks are adhered to and that team members understand their roles within the Scrum process. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile coaching role. Scrum Certification: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or other equivalent Agile certification (e.g., PSM I). Strong Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues proactively, with a focus on solutions that support the teams success. Agile Knowledge: Solid understanding of Agile principles, Scrum methodology, and other related frameworks Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) Facilitation Skills: Strong facilitation skills to lead meetings, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews. Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment. Data management: experience in areas of data management is preferable Microsoft certifications: added advantage Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Scaling Agile: Experience in scaling Scrum or Agile processes to larger teams or across multiple teams (e.g., SAFe, LeSS, or similar frameworks). Technical Understanding: Basic understanding of software development and technical processes to support development teams in technical discussions. Coaching and Mentorship: Experience coaching individuals and teams to improve Agile maturity.
