Location: Expat – Africa

Responsibilities:

– Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and control systems in mining operations
– Perform regular inspections and calibration of instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability
– Liaise with other technical staff and mining operators to coordinate maintenance activities
– Provide hands-on training and support to local technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge
– Work in adherence to safety regulations and company policies
– Participate in emergency response and shutdown activities as required
– Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status

Requirements:

– Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or related field
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the mining industry
– Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, control systems, PLCs, and SCADA systems
– Experience working with a variety of instruments such as pressure sensors, transmitters, flow meters, etc.
– Knowledge of mining processes and equipment
– Willingness to work in remote locations and travel extensively
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Valid driver`s license
– Ability to pass background checks and drug/alcohol screenings

Preferred qualifications:
– Previous expatriate experience
– Proficiency in multiple languages
