Job Summary

Main Objective: To provide tax and support services our clients who operate in all sectors. To continually assist and ensure that the clients receive excellent tax service and thus building and maintaining relationships that support the firm`s culture and values. Main responsibilities and accountabilities: Complete Company and Trust Income Tax returns, based on financial statements generated by the Audit and Bookkeeping Departments Complete Individual Income Tax returns, based on the necessary information obtained from clients, other than those for which financial statements have been prepared for by the Audit and Bookkeeping Departments Upload all necessary documentary proof to the completed Income Tax returns, to eliminate unnecessary queries to efiling Deal with queries from SARS relating to Income Tax returns completed Monitor the submission of returns ensuring that returns which can be submitted are submitted timeously Applications to SARS for registration of clients, where required Drafting of statements of assets and liabilities, capital reconciliations and tax computations Calculating and submitting provisional returns Complete EMP501 PAYE recons Complete Dividend returns Complete VAT and PAYE returns Drafting objections Personal competencies: Able to interpret information to ensure the maximum benefit to the firm and clients. Accountable, responsible, delivery orientated. Strive to constantly add value. Innovative and adaptable. Able to work well under pressure. Ensure professional and positive attitude at all times. Display good communication skills (both verbal and written). Self-motivated, driven and determined. Team player. Ensures attention to detail and quality of output. Must be confident in their abilities. Experience and qualifications: Diploma or BCom Degree in Tax 3 – 5 years experience in a similar role Experience in a tax environment is essential Fully computer literate on SARS eFiling GreatSoft (advantageous)
