Banqueting Manager A luxury full-service hotel in Cape Town is seeking an experienced, customer-centric, and highly organized Banqueting Manager to oversee all conference and banqueting outlets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event coordination, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences. Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and execute banquets, conferences, weddings, and other events, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional service. Supervise, train, and motivate the banqueting team to maintain high service standards. Liaise with clients to understand their event requirements, provide expert guidance, and ensure expectations are exceeded. Manage the setup, service, and breakdown of events to ensure efficiency and smooth operations. Maintain consistently high food, beverage, and service standards. Manage and monitor budgets, control costs, conduct monthly OS&E stock takes, and track daily revenue and DCP charges. Work closely with the sales team to maximize revenue opportunities. Ensure adequate stock levels of banqueting supplies and equipment. Comply with food safety, hygiene, and occupational health regulations. Requirements SA Citizen. Proven experience as a Banqueting Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Previous experience in a 5-star or high-end event/banqueting managerial position. Strong knowledge of PMS systems, including Opera S&C and Micros. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team. Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding service. Knowledge of food safety and health regulations. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Own, reliable transport is essential.
