Job Summary
Duties:
Provide professional, friendly and efficient first point of contact for all guests of the hotel ensuring that facilities are sold in such a way that maximizes revenue whilst satisfying the guest’s expectations.
Handle multiple tasks, communicate effectively, and align with the sophisticated and luxurious identity of the property.
Accurate taking and recording of reservations, either over phone, through website or correspondence ensuring that a professional and courteous image is created at this first point of contact reflecting the hotel standards.
Processes reservations from the sales office, other hotel departments, and travel agents.
Creates and maintains reservation records by date of arrival and alphabetical listing.
Prepares letters of confirmation.
Communicates reservation information to the front desk
Processes cancellations and modifications and promptly relays this information to the front desk
Understands the hotel`s policy on guaranteed reservations and no-shows
Tracks future room availabilities on the basis of reservations.
Liaise with all departments and communicate any special requirements of individual guests.
Ensure that all Reservations, enquiries and requests are confirmed in line with company policy
Promote the other departments within the hotel at every given opportunity in order to maximise hotel sales
Ensure that the database is maintained with accurate records for clients, agencies and companies
Process advance deposits on reservations
Ensure accuracy and attention to detail is maintained with all reservations on pre arrival

Requirements:
Grade 12
A formal hotel management qualification
Experience in high-end luxury properties / hotel reservations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail with a passion for delivering high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Eloquent
Planning, problem solving, and teamwork skills
Self-motivated & Energetic
Great Customer service skills
Ability to work under pressure
