Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute a robust go-to-market sales strategy, incorporating a structured sales pipeline, targeted messaging, and performance objectives.
- Drive lead generation, sales calls, platform demonstrations, and tailored proposals to secure deals with small, medium, large, and enterprise clients.
- Continuously assess market trends and customer needs to refine sales messaging and enhance product positioning.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to optimize processes and maximize performance outcomes.
Team Leadership & Development
- Plan and align staffing needs with business growth objectives.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team to consistently achieve and surpass revenue targets.
- Foster a results-driven team culture centered on collaboration, accountability, and continuous development.
Business Development & Customer Retention
- Implement and oversee outbound lead generation initiatives to drive business growth.
- Engage with prospects to understand their challenges and provide tailored solutions.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to expand market reach.
- Partner with customer success, product, and technical teams to ensure a seamless and high-quality customer experience.
- Take an active, hands-on role throughout the sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals.
Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of proven sales leadership experience, ideally as a Head of Sales.
- Demonstrated success in B2B sales, with a focus on mid-market and enterprise clients.
- Strong expertise in building, managing, and coaching sales teams.
- Ability to develop and execute high-impact sales strategies.
- Tech-savvy with experience using sales automation tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to engage and build relationships with C-suite executives.
- Experience managing a sales pipeline from prospecting through to deal closure.
- Familiarity with CRM and marketing platforms such as Freshsales or HubSpot.
- Fluency in at least two of the following languages: English, Afrikaans, Zulu, or Xhosa.
