An exciting opportunity awaits a skilled and motivated Energy Junior Electrician to join a progressive team in Cape Town. This is a chance to play a key role in shaping energy-saving initiatives while working on cutting-edge electrical and energy auditing projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, as well as conducting energy audits and supporting business development in the pursuit of ESCO contracts. This is more than just a technical role its about driving real impact in energy efficiency and sustainable practices. Key
Responsibilities:
Perform detailed energy efficiency audits and meter inspections Install, program, and maintain metering equipment Interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams Work with lighting systems, smart meters, Solar PV, inverters, and batteries Identify opportunities for energy savings and advise on optimisation strategies Maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement Ideal Candidate Skills & Qualifications: Diploma in Electrical Engineering (minimum), with a wiremans licence or proof of application Mandatory Minimum 3 years` experience in energy efficiency, metering, lighting, or Solar PV installations Mandatory Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, Microsoft Office, and reading electrical schematics Strong understanding of relevant SANS standards (10142, 10114-1, 10389-1, 10098-1) Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills Valid drivers licence Essential PV Green Card and CEM/CEA qualifications Advantageous ECSA registration (Professional Engineer or Candidate) Preferred EE Disclaimer: All positions will be filled in accordance with the company`s Employment Equity plan.
