Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tax compliance and reporting processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting to mitigate reputational risks.
• Report tax data for South Africa and ARO, including IT3s, DWT, WTI, FTCA, and CRS.
• Identify and remediate reporting inaccuracies while minimizing client impact.
• Provide expert guidance on tax reportable products and support internal teams.
• Maintain relationships with internal divisions, SARS, and industry bodies.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with IT to enhance tax reporting systems and functionality.
• Manage IRS registration, FATCA alerts, and validate documentation.
• Oversee attestation processes and submit required reports.
• Lead and develop a high-performing tax team.
• Drive talent management strategies, succession planning, and recruitment.
• Monitor team performance, manage leave, and address grievances.
• Motivate employees and implement recognition initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Commerce Degree or a related qualification.
• Postgraduate qualification in Tax (preferred).
• 10+ years of taxation experience.
• 5+ years of managerial experience.
• Financial services industry experience is essential.
