Job Summary

Are you a seasoned finance leader ready to take strategic ownership of a global group’s financial operations? An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance to join a prestigious multinational group. This is a high-impact leadership role with full accountability for the finance functioncovering financial reporting, planning and analysis, statutory compliance, tax, payroll, treasury, and equity managementfor a diverse portfolio of international entities (excluding certain operations in the DRC). Working closely with the President, CFO, and other senior executives, the successful candidate will play a critical role in driving financial excellence and integrity across the group. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee group financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual) to the highest standards Drive statutory reporting and compliance across multiple jurisdictions Manage tax submissions and responses (SA, UK, Canada), including VAT and deferred tax Lead group budgeting and financial planning processes Maintain oversight of equity compensation schemes and payroll (Canada and other key jurisdictions) Ensure seamless external audits, financial system accuracy (e.g. JDE), and treasury operations Collaborate on sustainability reporting and special corporate transactions Directly manage senior finance professionals and provide strategic leadership to the wider finance team Ideal Candidate Will Have: A CA(SA) qualification (required), with a BCom Honours or equivalent 10 years experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role Expertise in financial reporting, group consolidation, tax, audit, and treasury functions Exceptional command of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Exposure to the mining sector and systems like JDE (advantageous) French language skills (an advantage) Proven ability to lead teams, manage complexity, and deliver high-quality outputs under pressure EE Disclaimer: All positions will be filled in accordance with the company’s Employment Equity plan.
